On 24 October 2025, Walking Group 2 had a lovely sunny morning walk which was just over 5 miles and not too muddy after all the rain.

We started in Quorn, crossing Tom Longs water meadow on the way to Woodthorpe. We followed paths along fields, crossing the A6006 and A6 to continue to the Grand Union Canal which took us into Barrow on Soar. From there we continued along the public right of way known as the slabs back into Quorn.

Lunch was at The White Hart Inn.
