The reformed Garden Group held its first meeting on 29 April 2025, when the Soar Valley u3a Chair Ian L kindly offered his garden as the venue (see photos above). We were lucky to have a sunny day so were able to look round the garden as well as discuss how the group will operate going forward.

At the time of writing we are a large group of over 30 members. We are in the process of developing a programme of monthly visits to gardens of interest. Visits will be planned and led by members of the group and we will use our own transport. Some gardens limit the size of groups and some may be less accessible, but we are hoping to provide a varied programme so that everyone will find something of interest.
