One of our two active birdwatching groups, Birdwatching 1 meets on the third Monday of every month, generally at 10am. We travel in our own cars, most often to local sites not more than 40 - 50 miles away, usually being home again by 5pm, though we sometimes venture further afield.

We are not expert but always manage to have enjoyable day's birdwatching.

The visits must involve some walking but this is always at a gentle pace. Sometimes, we fit in a "pub lunch", but generally take a picnic to allow for more flexibility on lunchtimes and to increase the duration of the birdwatching day.
