One of our two active birdwatching groups, Birdwatching 1 meets on the third Monday of every month, generally at 09.15. We travel in our own cars to local sites not more than 40 - 50 miles away and usually are home again by 17.00.
We are not expert but always manage to have enjoyable day's birdwatching.
The visits must involve some walking but this is always at a gentle pace. Sometimes, we fit in a "pub lunch", but generally take a picnic lunch to allow for more flexibility on lunchtimes and to increase the duration of the birdwatching day.
